My Netflix Instant Watch recommendations do not reflect well on me. I mean, I have a degree in film studies, for God’s sake! “Emotional TV Shows About Marriage”? “High School TV Dramas.”!? I can tell you what brought these about: Friday Night Lights and Skins, respectively. Two very good TV shows, one of them British, which automatically makes it high-falutin’.
To look at this, though, you’d think I was spending all night watching War of the Roses and Dawson’s Creek. I need to really watch The Seventh Seal or Satyricon, so that I get the tab that says “For the Discriminating and Pretentious Cineaste.” I’ll probably just end up watching Uncle Buck, though.
