Anonymous asked: I am obsessed with your tumblr. Is is ok if I review it on my own blog? (If so, cool because I already did. If not, oops, my bad. I will remove it if you ask me to)

Jen, you are too kind.  Thank you!  This couldn’t have come at a better time.  We just had a fire drill at the office, and fire drills always drain my self-esteem.  Maybe it’s because when I was young my parents used to do fire drills with my brothers and me, and I was always the last one out because I could never find my glasses amid the smoke.  It wasn’t smoke from an actual fire, just a lit Marlboro Red that my dad would blow in our faces, which was meant to simulate plumes of smoke from a raging blaze.  After one such drill my mom told me that she’d sooner save our pet python than my worthless carcass.

So, yeah, I’m no scientologist, despite my best efforts, but I think that might have something to do with the insecurity vortex brought on by fire drills.  But you have pulled me out of that slump, Jen, and for that I thank you.  I would forward your post onto my parents, but they’re dead.

Okay, that last part might not be true, and most of this post might be a product of my imagination, but the part about being grateful for your kind words: that’s legit.
